OCT or Optical Coherence Tomography is a non-invasive instrument that allows us to see a 3D or cross section of the retina. This aids us in the early detection of eye diseases such as Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy before symptoms appear. An OCT scan functions similarly to a CT scan using light waves to differentiate the layers of the retina.
